The Facebook scam “to see who has viewed your profile”

By Cesar Ortiz
Users have been attracted to WebPages and Facebook applications that claim to be able to give you a secret insight into who is looking on your profile. If you are one of those who are curious about who might be watching you online, take care. We're seeing lots of users posting messages such as “OMG see who views your profile in real-time!” If you make the mistake of clicking on the link to one of these pages offering to tell you who are viewing your profile, you will find that the people behind this service want you to do a few things first. After completing several steps you will end up providing your personal information to hackers, including your cell phone number in some scams, and no results in your query. From that point on, as part of a multitude of attacks, you will get very expensive SMS text messages that will be charged to your phone account. Facebook FAQ's warns "Facebook does not provide a functionality that enables you to track who is viewing your profile, or parts of your profile.Third party applications also cannot provide this functionality". Facebook official answer to this subject is on the link below:

Awesome blog and very straight forward useful hints. Continue keeping out the technical jargon so that us layman’s can understand.
